My very first picture
began with a literal scratch across the oil pastels.
You can see it in the center, a scratch that would form the beak of a tiny
bird. I used cloth to slowly rub away the surrounding pastels, creating what
I imagined would become simple, abstract designs. After two weeks of work I
suddenly realized I was drawing prehistoric birds! ORIGINS harks back to
the archaic, male and female nurturing their young. This nurturing, the
origins of what we call love, predates human existence. In other words, life
always begins with love, the nurturing expressed between parents and their
young, nurturing that extends far back to the very 'origins' of life on our
planet.
